宋艳玲,博士,中国气象科学研究院三级研究员,生态与农业气象研究所副所长,WMO农业气象委员会专家,中国气象局气象为农服务指导专家组成员,中国生态学第一届生态气象专业委员会理事,全国农业气象标准化技术委员会委员。主要研究方向为干旱监测预警研究和气候变化对我国农业影响研究。作为主要完成人研发了气象干旱指数MCI,并且根据该指数研发了国家级干旱预测预警业务平台,目前该业务平台的干旱产品用于指导全国防旱抗旱工作。主持国家重点研发计划课题国家重点研发计划“气候变暖背景下极端强降温形成机理和预测方法研究”第五课题(2018YFC1505605)和中国气象局行业专项“气候变化背景下农业气象灾害对我国农业生产影响的评估技术”(GYHY201106021)”等多项课题,第一作者发表论文30多篇,其中SCI论文10多篇,第一作者出版著作2部。
