On November 5, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Henan Provincial People's Government issued a letter authorizing the provincial ministry to jointly build National key laboratory for the prevention and control of esophageal cancer. Zhengzhou University is the supporting unit of the the State Key Laboratory for the Prevention and Control of Esophageal Cancer, the competent department is Henan Provincial Science and Technology Department. The lab director is Professor Wang Lidong of Zhengzhou University.
National Key Laboratory laboratories for prevention and control of esophageal cancer will focus on the comprehensive prevention and control strategy of "Healthy Chinese 2030" and "Healthy Central Plains 2030" for major chronic diseases, aim at the causes and prevention of esophageal cancer, molecular typing and early diagnosis, targeted drug research and biological treatment, etc., to carry out innovative foundation and application basic study to reduce the incidence and mortality of esophageal cancer as the ultimate goal, improve regional scientific and technological innovation ability and serve local economic development.
During the construction and operation of the laboratory, according to the "National Key Laboratory for the Prevention and Control of Esophageal Carcinoma", which has been approved by the provincial authorities, we will adhere to the goal of high standard construction according to relevant requirements, further condense the development direction, strengthen the construction of talents team and experimental conditions, strengthen the open cooperation, constantly improve the level of scientific research, establish and improve the operational management mechanism, strive to become an important base for organizing and carrying out high-level scientific research, gathering and cultivating excellent scientific personnel, and promoting cooperation and academic exchanges between domestic and foreign cooperation, and leading role in the demonstration.
