“Southeast Asia and Asia from the Perspective of Globalization”
The Third China (Henan)–ASEAN International Academic Conference, 16th-17th May, 2026
Since 2024, Zhengzhou University has successfully hosted the “China (Henan)–ASEAN International Academic Conference.” The first two conferences brought together over one hundred scholars from ten ASEAN countries as well as the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, and other countries. Participants engaged in productive dialogue on topics including China–ASEAN relations, regional development, and civilizational interactions.
At present, the process of globalization is undergoing profound shifts while demonstrating new resilience. Asia—especially Southeast Asia—increasingly becomes prominent in the global political, economic, and socio-cultural landscape. To further deepen academic linkages and exchanges between China and ASEAN countries and beyond, Zhengzhou University will hold the Third China (Henan)–ASEAN International Academic Conference from 16th to 17th May 2026. We sincerely invite scholars to gather in the Central Plains region to exchange ideas, inspire one another, and jointly envision the past, present and future of Southeast Asia and Asia in a rapidly changing global environment. The main themes and schedule of the conference are appended.
We look forward to welcoming and having you with us for our conference!
