报告题目:Remolding Blockchain for Fair Data Processing
报告摘要:Currently, Cloud/Edge computing adopts centralized frameworks for data processing. In the era of big data, the rapid increase of real-time streaming data processing with high concurrency is making centralized control problems more serious, including the single point of failure, performance bottleneck, and high maintenance cost. On the other hand, the blockchain technology is very promising to solve these problems because of its decentralized characteristics and aggregated enormous computing resources, but it often consumes these recourses for purely reaching decentralized consensus, instead of solving practical problems. The recently proposed proof of useful work (PoUW) consensus mechanism has therefore been proposed stepping forward to utilize these potential enormous recourses for meaningful data processing. However, in order to use the blockchain for data processing, two fundamental issues remain unknown: 1). how to remold the transaction-recording blockchain for decentralized data processing, 2). how to support data-processing fairness under decentralized control. This talk is devoted to solving these two issues.
