Objective
This program emphasizes the principles of physics and materials science for analysis, design, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems. It involves the production and usage of heat and mechanical power for the design, production, and operation of machines and tools. Students should have basic theory and professional knowledge in mechanical engineering and industrial engineering together with scientific thinking methods and the ability to deal with science and technology problems. Mechanical Engineering program has been built to prepare students for a challenging and rewarding career in this versatile field. Graduates mainly engage in the manufacturing and digital development of mecha-tronic products and the design, planning and operation during the production of mecha-tronic products in the field of mechanical engineering and automation.
Basic Requirements
Student of this program should learn basic knowledge of mathematics and physics and other natural science. They also should learn the basic theory and basic knowledge of mechanical design, mechanical manufacturing, and mechanical control. Students should accept the basic training of mechanical engineers; they should possess the basic ability of mechanical engineering in the design, manufacture, technology development, scientific research, production and management.
Graduates should acquire the following knowledge and abilities:
1 With a solid knowledge of natural science, humanities, art and, the language ability to express themselves;
2 Systematically master the basic theories and technology of broad knowledge, including basic knowledge of mechanics, mechanical, electrical and electronics, market economy and enterprise management;
3 With the necessary skill in design and mapping, calculation, testing, literature search and process operations, and other basic skills such as computer and foreign language ability.
4 Have the professional knowledge, understanding the frontiers and development trend of the subject.
5 With a strong self-learning ability, innovative consciousness and high comprehensive quality.
6 With a sense of social responsibility and noble professional ethics;
7 Be able to play a role in the multi-disciplinary team and strong interpersonal skills;
8 Broad knowledge, and has the knowledge of modern social problems, the objective understanding of the impact of mechanical engineering on the world and society;
9 With the consciousness of lifelong education and the ability to continue learning.
Core Course
The main courses are descriptive geometry and mechanical drawing, theoretical mechanics, mechanics of materials, electrical and electronics, mechanical principles, mechanical design, precision design, mechanical manufacturing technology, etc..
Duration
The period of the program is full-time four years (Flexible between 3-6 years). Graduates who conform to the regulations ofZhengzhouUniversitycan be granted as Bachelor of Engineering.
Credit Requirement
Student of the program should complete all courses required and scored 180 credits (95 credits from platform courses, 76 from module courses, and 9 from optional courses) for bachelor degree.
