On 20^th July, 2021, a huge flood occurred in Zhengzhou because of a rare rainstorm. Heavy rain caused serious water accumulation in our school. Moreover, water, electricity and internet were totally cut off in the living area, which seriously affected the lives of students staying in school. In order to ensure these students’ safety, enough drinking water and food, a series of tasks were carried out immediately including the supply of daily necessities and expressing condolences for the disaster-stricken students, organized by Du Shejuan, deputy secretary of the Communist Party Committee of the School of Mechanical and Power Engineering.
