"Mechanics" originated from the "Teaching and Research Department of Mechanical Principles and Mechanical Parts" in the early 1960s when the school was founded (Note: Zhengzhou Institute of Technology). At present, there are 17 subjects, including 4 professors, 9 associate professors and senior experimenters, and 13 doctorates. In 1988, the subject was awarded the Master's Degree in Mechanical Design and Theory, and in 2014, the Doctor's Degree in Aircraft Structural Safety Engineering. There are 1 doctoral supervisor and 10 master's supervisor. The subject of Mechanical Design and Theory is a provincial key subject. This subject has nearly 30 years of postgraduate training history, a total of nearly 200 postgraduates. The discipline undertakes nearly 20 courses such as Mechanical Principles, Mechanical Design, Basic Mechanical Design, Mechanical Optimum Design, Mechanical CAD, Mechanical Reliability Design and Finite Element Method for mechanical undergraduates, as well as postgraduate courses such as Mechanical Optimum Design, Mechanical CAD and Design Method. The teaching tasks of more than 10 courses, such as Learning, Machinery Design and Principle of Machinery, are provincial top-quality courses and school-level top-quality courses. At the same time, a large number of scientific research tasks have been completed. Subject design, analysis and experiment means are perfect and advanced. The total value of all kinds of equipment is more than 5 million yuan. Software and hardware facilities can basically meet the requirements of teaching and scientific research.
