Xiaoping science and technology innovation team was invited to attend the China Youth Science and Technology Innovation Award Presentation Conference.

In August 24th, the Eleventh China Youth Science and Technology Innovation Award Presentation Conference was held in the Great Hall of the people in Beijing. Sun Chunlan, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and vice premier of the State Council, attended and spoke. Mr. Pei Dongjie, member of the Youth League Committee of Zhengzhou University, and Mr. Wang Kaiyong, a student of the "Department of Shenlan Science and Technology" of our college, were invited to attend the award ceremony as representatives of the "Xiaoping Science and Technology Innovation Team" of the National College students.

Xiaoping Science and Technology Innovation Team was established by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, the All-China Youth Federation, the All-China Federation of Scholars and the National Committee of Young Workers to support the scientific and technological innovation activities of Chinese youth. Zhengzhou University's "Shenlan Science and Technology Department" was selected successfully and received 40,000 yuan of financial support from China Youth Science and Technology Innovation Award Fund. The award fund was established on the occasion of Comrade Deng Xiaoping's Centennial birthday in 2004, according to Comrade Xiaoping's wishes. The selection of "Shenlan Science and Technology Department" in our college is also the second successful selection after the "ZZU-SPARK" team in 2014.

Shenlan Science and Technology Department is a scientific and technological innovation institution for students set up by our college in 2005. It aims to cultivate students'innovative consciousness and practical ability. Since its establishment, it has trained a large number of national scholarships, Baosteel scholarship winners, National University Students' self-improvement star winners and National University Students'annual innovative figures. Student Xiu; Made "staircase-climbing intelligent wheelchair", "underwater propeller without propeller", "spherical water quality detection robot", "pneumatic software robot system", "intelligent sign language translation robot", "corner-climbing robot", "building waste classification robot based on material recognition", "3D beating". The team members have won the first prize of the iCAN International College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, the National College Students Mechanical Engineering Creative Design Competition, the National College Students Navigator Design Competition, the Chinese Robot Competition Champion, and the National College Students Entrepreneurship Plan. There are dozens of international and domestic awards such as the Challenge Cup National Silver Award, the Seventh National University Students'Machinery Innovation Design Competition National Second Prize, the National Youth Science Popularization Innovation Experiment Competition First Prize, the Silk Road Robot Innovation Competition First Prize, and the National Mobile Interconnection Innovation Competition First Prize.
