A press conference themed “China in this Decade: Henan” is held by the Henan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) in Zhengzhou, capital of Henan Province on Aug. 28.At the conference,Lou Yangsheng, Secretary of the Henan Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Henan Provincial People’s Congress,made the keynote announcement and answered questions from journalists. His announcement released the top ten scientific and technological innovation achievements of Henan in recent years, 2 of which were accomplished by scholars of ZZU.
The top 1，Azvudine, the small molecule oral specific drug for the treatment of COVID-19 in China with fully independent intellectual property rights and global patents，was approved for marketing. Chang Junbiao, the inventor of the drug is a professor of ZZU and the drug producer is Henan Genuine Biotechnology Co., Ltd in Pingdingshan City. At present, the drug has been put into production in Henan.
No. 4 in Lou’s announcement is also from ZZU where Academician He Jilin presided over the project of “Key Technology and Engineering of High-performance ITO Target for Flat Panel Display” and made a breakthrough in solving the “bottleneck” technical problem. The technique was successfully applied to BOE’s high-generation TFT production line for the first time in China.
