原玉香,女,博士,二级研究员,河南省农业科学院园艺研究所叶类蔬菜研究室主任,郑州大学、河南科技学院兼职研究生导师。兼任河南省植物生理学会理事长、中国植物生理与分子生物学学会理事、中国园艺学会分子育种分会常务理事、中国农业生物技术学会理事等职。为国际学术期刊《Plant Physiology》《Theoretical and Applied Genetics》、《Frontiers in Plant Science》等杂志的审稿专家。
主要从事大白菜等十字花科蔬菜生物技术与遗传育种研究,主持国家自然科学基金、国家重点研发计划子课题等项目10多项,为河南省农业良种联合攻关(白菜)项目首席科学家,在大白菜种质资源创制、育种技术研究、新品种选育及成果转化等方面取得了一定成果。育成大白菜等蔬菜新品种22个,发表论文100余篇,其中SCI收录论文20多篇,获得国家发明专利8件、植物新品种权6项。先后获省级二等以上成果奖5项,其中国家科技进步二等奖1项,农业部中华农业科技一等奖1项。入选国家百千万人才工程,被授予“国家有突出贡献中青年专家”、“河南省优秀专家”、“河南省学术技术带头人”等称号。
