School of Journalism and Communication 2023 doctoral student enrollment comprehensive assessment work arrangement

According to the doctoral enrollment plan of the School of Journalism and Communication and the examination results of the "application-examination" system, the work of the comprehensive assessment of doctoral student enrollment this year is arranged as follows:

2.Examination method and time

(1) Examination methods

The test will be taken offline. Please download and print your admission ticket in advance.

3.Examination content and specific requirements

Comprehensive examination is conducted by combining written examination with interview. The written test will count for 50% of your grade and the interview will count for 50% of your grade.

(1) Written examination

The written examination is a closed book examination. The examination subjects include the basic examination of journalism and communication (2999) and the comprehensive ability examination of journalism and communication (3999). Each paper is worth 100 points and lasts for 3 hours.

(2) Interview

The examinee will introduce his/her research experience and achievements, outline the academic status of the research field he/she plans to engage in, and share his/her research ideas and conditions on the screen in the form of PPT.

According to the professional training requirements, the expert group of the re-examination will test the candidates' ability to comprehensively apply the knowledge they have learned, grasp the frontier knowledge of the subject and the latest research trends, and evaluate whether they have the potential and comprehensive quality of doctoral training by referring to the application materials.

Oral foreign language test, including self-introduction in English, and answer the examiner's questions.

Total score of comprehensive examination = score of written examination ×50%+ score of interview (professional interview ×70%+ English interview ×30%) ×50%.

4.Admission

(1) The expert panel of the re-examination will make the final decision on the admission list by taking into account the scores of the candidates in the written examination, interview, postgraduate study and scientific research. Candidates are selected strictly according to their total scores.

(2) Those who fail to pass the qualification examination, the political examination, the physical examination, the written examination, the professional interview and the English interview (below 60 points) will not be admitted.

5. Precautions

(1) Candidates must voluntarily obey the unified arrangement of the college. Candidates are not allowed to enter the campus by motor vehicle, and no attendant is allowed to enter the campus.

(2) Candidates are not allowed to bring dictionaries, electronic tools, communication tools and other things unrelated to the examination into the examination room.

(3) Candidates must present valid ID cards to enter the examination room.

(4) Candidates who arrive late 15 minutes after the test begins are not allowed to enter the test room and will be treated as absent from the test.

(5) After the examination, the examinee is not allowed to take the examination paper, answer sheet, answer sheet, scratch paper out of the examination room, otherwise it will be punished as violation of discipline.
