On September 4th, the School of Journalism and Communication at Zhengzhou University celebrated the establishment of the Mu Qing International Experimental Class with a formal ceremony. The event was graced by the presence of Vice President Hu Shaowei, who is also a member of the Party Committee Standing Committee. He presented the class flag, symbolizing the commencement of this innovative academic program.

In attendance were representatives from the Graduate School, the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation, and other key university departments, along with the leadership of the School of Journalism and Communication. Over 50 faculty members and students from the inaugural class were also part of this milestone event.

Vice President Hu Shaowei emphasized in his address the significance of the Mu Qing International Experimental Class as a pivotal step in the university's journey to enhance journalism education. He highlighted the growing importance of news communication in the era of globalization and the role of the class in providing students with a robust platform for international exchange and holistic development.

The School of Journalism and Communication, which has been offering the Mu Qing Journalism Experimental Class at the undergraduate level since 2015, has successfully enrolled and nurtured 298 students. This class has become a distinguished model for ideological and political education in journalism and the cultivation of specialized talent. The Mu Qing International Experimental Class, designed for graduate students, aims to build upon the legacy of Mu Qing's journalistic philosophy, fostering a new generation of journalists with a global outlook, innovative thinking, and the ability to excel in cross-cultural communication.

The class's upcoming international exchange programs with Universiti Putra Malaysia and Ming Chuan University in Taiwan mark a significant leap in the school's commitment to internationalization. This initiative is set to prepare 25 graduate students for global engagement, aligning with the university's vision of producing well-rounded journalism professionals.

The inauguration of the Mu Qing International Experimental Class signifies a major innovation in the realm of journalism education at Zhengzhou University.
