Dr. Yun Tian
Post-doc, Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering
Dr. Yun Tian received her Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering in 2012 from East China University of Science and Technology (Shanghai, China) and Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering in 2018 from University of California, Riverside (Riverside, US). She worked as a researcher in Chemical Engineering department in UCR for a year. Her research is related with computational materials design and discovery for nanoporous materials by utilizing the ever-increasing computer power and rapid developments in molecular theories. She has been at Zhengzhou University (Zhengzhou, China) as a Post-doc since Sep. 2018. She has published 9 research papers from ACS and Wiley Science.
Research Fields
1. Utilizing the ever-increasing computer power and rapid developments in molecular theories on gas adsorption, diffusion, separation, and heat effects;
2. Multi-scale modeling by combining different computational methods including classical density functional theory, molecular dynamic (MD) simulation, Monte Carlo (MC), and ab initio calculations.
