1.Mu Qing news experimental class introduction

In June 2014, Xinhua News Agency and Zhengzhou University signed a contract to build the Muqing Research Center. In December 2014, the Publicity Department of Henan Provincial Party Committee signed a contract with Zhengzhou University to build the School of Journalism and Communication. As an important measure to implement the "two co-construction", in June 2015, the School of Journalism and Communication recruited 27 outstanding undergraduates from 2014 to form the first Muqing Journalism Experimental Class. Through the innovative training mode that combines characteristic theory and practice, such as "humanities and social science general course education", "media and professional double head teacher arrangement", "retracing Muqing Road", "going deep into the grassroots to gather wind", "New story of youth" and "news works Competition", Muqing Journalism Experimental Class has achieved good training results. Nearly 70% of the students have been admitted to graduate schools. More than 100 awards at university level and above; He has won many honors, such as "Excellent Class of Henan Province Colleges and Universities" and "Civilized Class of Henan Province". The exploration of Muqing Journalism Experimental Class in the cultivation of outstanding journalism and communication talents has been highly recognized by journalism and communication colleges and media industry, and it has become an outstanding class supported by the "Six Excellence and one top-notch" plan of Zhengzhou University.

The large-scale teaching practice of Mu Qing Journalism Experimental class -- "Retracing Mu Qing's Road", led by professional teachers, followed the footsteps of Mu Qing's revolution and interviews, explored Jiao Yulu, Wang Jinxi, Pan Congzheng and other heroes under Mu Qing's pen, learned Mu Qing's spirit of "don't forget the people", and felt the earth-shaking changes that had taken place in the motherland over the past 40 years. In November 2018, "Rewalking Muqing Road -- Entering Lankao" was selected as "Great Transformation -- Large-scale Exhibition Celebrating the 40th Anniversary of Reform and Opening Up" and exhibited in the National Museum; In September 2022, "Retracing Muqing Road -- Entering Yan 'an" was selected for the "Forging Ahead in a New Era" theme achievement exhibition, exhibited in Beijing Exhibition Center. 2.Mu Qing news experimental class training objectives

The School of Journalism and Communication plans to select 30 students with strong interest in journalism from the full-time first-year undergraduates of all majors in the school to study in Muqing Journalism Experimental Class. According to the requirements of the "Education and Training Plan for Excellent Journalism and Communication Talents 2.0" issued by the Ministry of Education and Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, the School of Journalism and Communication will carry out detailed training for students in terms of curriculum, teaching staff and professional practice, so as to cultivate students with broad knowledge foundation, independent thinking spirit, excellent practical ability, and familiar with Chinese news and publicity policies and regulations. To meet the needs of the era of media transformation, high-quality all-media expert news communication reserve talents with national feelings and international vision.

3.Selection and assessment requirements

The selection and assessment is divided into two parts: written test and interview. The written test mainly tests the students' scope of knowledge, professional interest, independent thinking and written expression ability. The interview process mainly examines students' ideological and political literacy, humanistic literacy, practical ability and other comprehensive qualities.

4.Conditions for registration

Full-time undergraduates of Grade 2022 admitted by Zhengzhou University, who have no disciplinary record and have passed the course record (bring the final exam transcript during the interview), can apply. According to the relevant regulations of changing majors (major categories) for regular undergraduate students of Zhengzhou University, the following situations are not accepted:

(1) Students admitted by specialties, recommendation, orientation, etc.;

(2) Students majoring in art and physical education;

(3) Recommended students for admission to foreign languages;

(4) Students majoring in Chinese-foreign cooperation in running schools;

(5) Students in the category of jointly running schools.
