In 2023, the School of Journalism and Communication will accept the admission of ordinary undergraduate students to change major (major) study assessment

According to the regulations on changing majors in the Management Measures for Regular Undergraduate Students to Change Majors of Zhengzhou University (Educational Affairs (2020) 1), and in combination with the requirements of all majors of the School of Journalism and Communication, the Regulations are formulated.

1.The number of students who plan to change majors (categories)

The number of students in the category of journalism and communication is expected to be 10.

2.Requirements for students applying to change majors (categories)

In accordance with the regulations of "Zhengzhou University Ordinary Undergraduate Students to change major study Management", and the academic performance ranking in the top 30% of the major.

The applicant must pass all course examinations required for the first academic year of the major (category) he/she has studied, and his/her scores in all courses are qualified or above.

Good conduct, no violation of any law or school rules and discipline records.

Students should submit the application for changing major (category) online within the time specified by the university and the application shall be approved by the Academic Affairs Office.

3.Assessment and Admission Methods

Students who pass the preliminary qualification examination shall participate in the examination organized by our college. The examination takes the way of interview, mainly examines the students' professional quality, expression ability and comprehensive quality. The school will rank the students according to their assessment results and determine the list of students to be transferred and submit it to the Office of Academic Affairs of the school based on the number of students acceptable for each major (major category).
