Wang Zhenjun, born in 1963, come from Lingbao, Henan Province, with a doctorate in literature and a postdoctorate in history. He is currently a Distinguished Professor in Henan Province, a professor in the School of Journalism and Communication of Zhengzhou University, and a member of the Academic Committee of Zhengzhou University. He is the Director of the Cultural Industry Research Center of Zhengzhou University, one of the "Four Batches" of talents in the propaganda and culture system of Henan Province, the Vice Chairman of the Folk Literature and Art Association of Henan Provincial Federation of Literature and Art, and the Chief Expert of the major projects of Henan Provincial Social Science Planning.

From 1982 to 1985, he studied at the Chinese Department of Luoyang Teachers' College; from 1994 to 1997, he studied for a master's degree in literary aesthetics at Yunnan University; from 1997 to 2000, he worked as a journalist and editor at Henan People's Broadcasting Station; from 2000 to 2003, he studied for a doctorate in contemporary Chinese literature at Henan University; from 2003 to the present, he has been engaged in teaching and research at the School of Journalism and Communication of Zhengzhou University. From 2005 to 2006, he worked as a member of the Doctoral Service Corps in the Henan Provincial Department of Culture as the deputy director of the office. 2008-2011, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the School of History of Zhengzhou University on intangible cultural heritage. 2008, he was awarded the first batch of postdoctoral special grants in China. 2013, he participated in the national training course for philosophical and social science backbones at the Central Party School. 2014, he participated in the Central Socialist Academy In 2014, he attended the training course for experts from outside the Party.

He is also a member of the Steering Committee for Teaching Journalism and Communication of the Ministry of Education, a special professor of the National Network Training Center for College Teachers of the Ministry of Education, a member of the expert pool of the National Public Cultural Service System of the Ministry of Culture, a member of the expert group for the preparation of the Marxist concept of journalism textbook of the Ministry of Education of the Central Propaganda Department, a liaison expert of the United Front Work Department of the Central Government, a deputy secretary-general of the Cross-Straits Cultural Industry University Alliance (150 universities), a vice president of the Henan Provincial Creative Vice President of Henan Provincial Creative Industry Association, member of Henan Provincial Public Culture Construction Expert Committee, member of Henan Provincial Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Expert Committee, member of Henan Provincial Cultural Industry Expert Committee.

He has presided over and completed 20 projects of National Social Science, Ministry of Propaganda, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Personnel and Henan Provincial Government, published 4 academic monographs and 80 articles in People's Daily, Guangming Daily, China Social Science Journal, Foreign Social Science, Modern Communication, China Television, China Radio and Television Journal and other publications. He won one first prize and four second prizes for excellent social science achievements in Henan Province.

In 2005, he participated in the drafting of the "Planning Outline for Building a Strong Cultural Province in Henan Province" and the "Opinions of Henan Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government on Vigorously Developing Cultural Industries"; in 2009, he participated in the planning of eight pilot cultural reform zones in Henan Province; in 2010, he participated in the drafting of the "12th Five-Year Plan" for cultural development in Zhengzhou City as the chief expert. In 2011, he participated in the research and drafting work of the Central Plains Economic Zone's "Construction Plan for the Inheritance and Innovation Zone of Huaxia Historical Civilization", and in 2012, as the chief expert, he presided over the major project of Henan Province's Social Science Planning, "Accelerating Cultural Industry Research in Henan Province", and in 2013, as the leader of the expert group, he presided over the research project of Zhengzhou City's system design for creating a national public cultural service demonstration city. In 2015, he participated in the preparation of "Fifteen Lectures on Marxist View of Journalism" organized by the Ministry of Education of the Central Propaganda Department.

In 1997, he won the China Broadcasting Literature and Arts Award and the First Prize of Henan Province Broadcasting Literature and Arts. In 2013, he was announced as a serious and responsible project appraisal expert by the National Social Science Planning Office, and in 2014, he was awarded as a national outstanding social science popularization expert by the National Social Science Federation Conference. In 2014, he won the Outstanding Contribution to Cultural Industry Award at Hangzhou Baima Lake Cultural Industry Forum, and in 2015, he won the Henan Folk Literature and Arts "Golden Tripod Award".
