Lyu Wenkai

Lyu Wenkai was born in 1968 in Minquan County, Henan Province. He is an associate professor and a master's supervisor at the School of Journalism and Communication of Zhengzhou University. He graduated from the Chinese Department of Henan University in 1990 with a bachelor's degree in literature, and in 1996 he graduated from the School of Journalism at Fudan University with a Master of Law degree.

He has successively led research projects such as the National Social Science Planning Project "Research on the Advocacy and Comforting Functions of the Media on Public Emotions", the Henan Provincial Social Science Planning Project "Comparative Study of Chinese and Western News Communication Mechanisms", and the "Status and Development of the Broadcasting and Television Industry in Henan Province". He has published more than 30 academic papers, including over 10 in core journals. His articles, such as "Public Media and Social Development", "Five Strong Forces in the Development of China's News and Communication Industry", and "The Main Forms of Knowledge Gap in the Information Age and Their Social Effects", have been reprinted by media outlets such as Xinhua Digest, the replicated materials of Communication and Journalism at Renmin University of China, and People's Daily Online. He has authored two books: "Communication Course" and "Throat and Industry: A Perspective on the Development Trajectory of Contemporary China's Communication Industry", and has served as deputy editor and contributor to multiple textbooks.

In 2002, he was awarded the "Outstanding Young and Middle-aged Teacher Fund" by Zhengzhou University, and in 2004, he was awarded the "Outstanding Young and Middle-aged Teachers Fund" by Henan Province's higher education institutions. In 2007, he was awarded the honorary title of "Outstanding Teacher in Henan Province". Lyu Wenkai is the leader of the communication discipline at the School of Journalism and Communication of Zhengzhou University, as well as a member of the Communication branch of the Chinese Journalism Society under the Ministry of Education. Currently, he mainly engages in teaching and research work in the fields of communication theory and practice.
