Wei Meng

Wei Meng, a Ph.D. in journalism, was born in May 1981. He graduated from the Department of Journalism at Zhengzhou University with a bachelor's degree in 2003, from the Department of Journalism at Nanchang University with a master's degree in 2009, and from the School of Journalism and Communication at Huazhong University of Science and Technology with a Ph.D. in 2014. He has worked at Henan Television and Huangshan University.

His main research interests include journalism business, public opinion guidance, and news commentary. He has participated in the national project "Research on the Construction of Public Opinion Guidance System for Dealing with Emergencies" and has published multiple news commentaries.

His main papers include: "On the Public Opinion Intervention Strategies of Non-Governmental Organizations - Taking the Truth-Building Hall Incident as an Example" (published in the Journal of Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications(Social Science Edition), Vol. 4, 2012), "Continuously Improving the Ability of Public Opinion Guidance in Emergencies - Taking the Beijing '7.21' Disaster as an Example" (published in News and Writing, Vol. 8, 2012), and "Citizen Expression in Emergencies" (published in News University, Vol. 6, 2013).
