Zhang Juxi, born in 1964, from Huixian, Henan Province, with a doctoral degree in journalism, is a professor(Level 2) and a doctoral supervisor. He is the chief expert of the National Social Science Fund's major project, a high-level leading talent in Henan Province, and an expert who enjoy the special allowance of the State Council Government. He received his bachelor's degree in literature from Lanzhou University, his master's degree in literature from the Russian State Pushkin Institute of Russian Language, and his Ph.D. degree in journalism from the Russian People's Friendship University.

He has served as a journalist for China in Russia for a long time. He returned to China in 2005 and worked at Henan University and Zhengzhou University. He is currently the dean of the School of Journalism and Communication at Zhengzhou University, the executive vice-president of the Zhongyuan Media Research Institute, one of the "four batches" of talents in Henan Province's ideological and cultural front, the chairman of the teaching guidance committee for news and communication majors in Henan Province, a high-level talent in scientific and technological innovation in Henan universities, the chief expert of the philosophy and social science innovation team at Henan universities, an excellent scholar in philosophy and social sciences in Henan universities, and an excellent supervisor of master's degree theses in Henan Province.

He is also a reviewer for the national experimental teaching demonstration center appointed by the Ministry of Education, a member of the National Excellent News and Communication Talent Education and Training Expert Committee of the Ministry of Education, and a member of the teaching guidance committee for news and communication majors of the Ministry of Education. He is an expert for dissertation review for the National Education Supervision Committee Office of the State Council and a peer-reviewer for the National Social Science Fund project. He is also a standing member of the China Journalism History Society and the vice president of the Foreign News and Communication History Research Association.

He has published over 2,000 news articles in domestic and foreign newspapers and magazines such as Southern Daily, Southern Weekly, 21st Century Global Report, 21st Century Business Herald, Youth Reference, Chinese Pictorial, Global Times, and Moscow Chinese Newspaper. He has taught courses including News Theory, News Interview, News Writing, Special Research on News and Communication, International Communication Studies, Cross-cultural Communication Studies, and Russian Cultural Communication for undergraduate and graduate students.

He has chaired four national social science fund projects and six provincial-level projects, published over 80 papers in domestic and foreign academic journals, and authored 17 books, receiving six provincial-level awards for outstanding achievements.
