On the evening of May 5, the final of the 20th Campus Cheerleading Competition was successfully held at the South Playground of Zhengzhou University.
After the fierce competition in the preliminary and final rounds, 12 teams, including ours, stood on the stage of the final. The final was divided into two parts, the first part was performed by each team in turn, the second part was randomly selected by the staff to compete with representatives from each college.
Our cheerleading team was the second to appear on stage, with their heads held high and their strides neatly taken. The female team members wore playful double ponytails, vibrant pink tops and white puffy skirts, and together with the male team members, they presented a wonderful show called "Miracle Reproduction". The nineteen members of the team were like summer flowers waiting to blossom when they were silent, and danced like the summer breeze, dancing to the beat of the drum and making a beautiful arc with their blue hand bouquets, winning the cheers and applause of the audience. With their infectious smiles, neat and tidy movements, rhythmic dance and varied formations, they conveyed enthusiasm and energy to the audience and interpreted what youth looks like. In the audience area, students cheered and sometimes burst into applause, accompanied by dynamic music, the atmosphere of the whole room reached a climax. In the second session, our cheerleading team sent two representatives, Jiang Wanqi and Li Enuo, to compete after the lottery. They danced with their own style and grace as the music changed.
The cheerleading team was awarded the third prize after the judges had scored and deliberated. In this competition, the performance of our cheerleading team fully reflected the confidence, vitality and enthusiasm of our college, and vividly demonstrated the vigorous and energetic spirit of our students. The team members' lovely smiles and neat and confident dance steps were unforgettable. The difficult moves such as the one-line horse, flips and lifts not only increased the difficulty and ornamental appeal of the dance, but also showed that our team members were well prepared and had solid skills.
A minute on stage is a decade of work. Behind the glamour are countless days of perseverance and hard training, and behind the flowers and applause are countless hours of hard work and sweat. In order to present the best show, the team members trained day after day and started again and again. "We start preparing early and train every day. Although we are tired, the thought of winning first place fills us with energy again!" Cheerleading team members Chen Siyuan and Li Huihui share their training routine. Returning from a full month of wearing the moon, they have always maintained their unconquerable energy in the face of difficulties. "Our goal at the beginning was to take first place, and although we were a bit upset to see the result, we will definitely do better next year." Gan Qilin, captain of the dance team, said. If you want to compete, you should compete for first place, and if you want to do it, you should do your best. The team members have regrets about their current performance but are not discouraged. They are cheering each other on and are determined to get better results in future competitions.
The spring breeze is full of new energy, and it is the right time to sail forward. The dream is ahead, the road is under our feet. We believe they will work harder in the future and strive for more glory and glory for our college! (Text: Tan Yufei)
